Assistive Technology Office

 

The Assistive Technology Office (ATO) is dedicated to creating an inclusive academic environment for everyone at Cal State East Bay while also working in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  ATO primarily serves students associated with Accessibility Services who require assistive technology related accommodations. Additionally, ATO provides assistance to faculty and staff members by means of workplace accommodations facilitated through Human Resources.

Our locations on Campus

Assistive Technology Office

  • Facilitates assistive technology assessments for students connected with Accessibility Services.
  • Provides ongoing assistive technology training and support.
  • Loans out assistive technologies hardware, software, and laptops.

Learning Commons

  • Provides IT services to students and loans out basic computer equipment.
  • Computer stations with tools such as JAWS, ZoomText Magnifier, Fusion and Dragon Naturally Speaking.
  • Computer stations with height adjustable tables.
