What makes me unique

A licensed Psychologist, Dr. Romero's professional interests include: cross cultural counseling and consultation, student services and counseling in higher education, career development in schools and organizations, and supervision and professional mentoring in counseling. His career over the last 35 years as a University professor, counseling psychologist, and University administrator has included experiences in the Southwest at the University of New Mexico, the Mid-west at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Southern California at the University of California, Irvine, and the East Bay area including the University of California, Berkeley and San Francisco State University. A Professor at ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ since 1990, he has been honored as Professor of the Year at the Concord campus and has served as Director of the CEAS Credential Student Services Center.

  • Dr. Romero's professional research agenda has focused on issues of diversity and counseling, counseling and student services in higher education, career development, and issues and trends facing graduate students. He has more than a dozen publications and has presented more than three dozen papers at professional conferences.
