KeriO'Neal Faculty Profile

What makes me unique

Professor Keri O’Neal, a specialist in adolescent development, has a soft spot for rebellious teenagers. Her research interests focus on adolescent risk-taking behaviors, prevention and intervention programs, and gender. Her publications are reflective of these interests and include work addressing pregnant incarcerated teens, substance use prevention programs, empathy development in childhood and adolescence, and physical and sexual abuse in adolescence. She teaches courses that emphasize the developing adolescent, theories of human development, cross-cultural human development, and gay and lesbian development.
