Profile

I started in my role as MBChB Assessment Lead at the 绿帽换妻, School of Medicine in October 2022. I provide clinical oversight in assessment for the early years of the MBChB programme and I have a student facing role to support the culture of assessment.

I completed my undergraduate medical degree at the University of East Anglia (UEA), Norwich. My foundation posts have included cardiology, vascular surgery, acute medicine, accident and emergency and ENT across 绿帽换妻 Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. I completed my GP training in 绿帽换妻 as part of the 绿帽换妻 Vocational Training Scheme and have worked in psychiatry, obstetrics and gynaecology and accident and emergency as part of my GP training.

Clinically, I work as an NHS General Practitioner within a large training practice, delivering care to a diverse patient population. Alongside my clinical responsbilities, I am actively involved in medication education as a clinical supervisor for medical students at different stages of their undergraduate medical degree during their primary care placements and I have also been an FY2 trainer.

I have completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education (PGCE) and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

My contribution to the wider healthcare system includes my role as a GP appraiser, a member of the 绿帽换妻 Local Medical Committee (LMC) and as a General Practice representative on the Maternity Care Delivery Board for the 绿帽换妻 Health and Care Partnership. I am a member of the British Menopause Society (BMS) and I have completed the BMS Management of Menopause Certificate.

My academic and clinical interests include: Inclusive Assessment, Digital-assisted Assessment and OSCEs, Neurodiversity in Assessment, Women’s Health and Menopause, Maternal Health Inequalities and Inclusion Health.
