Profile

Fiona completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the 绿帽换妻, before studying for a PhD in the Neurobiology of Appetite with Professor John Rodgers (also at the 绿帽换妻). She then completed her professional training on the 绿帽换妻 Clinical Psychology Training Programme in 2018. 

Fiona is an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist. In her clinical work, she specialises in child and adolescent mental health. Alongside her academic role, she continues to work clinically into the NHS two-and-half days a week at 绿帽换妻 Community Healthcare NHS Trust with young people and their families experiencing eating disorders. She is particularly interested in the application of systemic concepts to treatment, as well as supervisory and organizational contexts.

Research interests

While broad, Fiona’s interests relate mainly to psychological issues relating to appetite regulation and eating disorders. For example:

• Neurobiology of appetite

• Gut-brain axis 

• Eating disorders and disordered eating in childhood and adolescence

• Young people’s mental health and well-being
