Profile
I am an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist specialising in lower limb musculoskeletal conditions. Alongside my clinical role at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, I work as a Project Manager within the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre at the ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ, supporting research within the Assisted Healing and Rehabilitation theme.
I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2015 and completed an MSc in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy with Distinction in 2023. I joined the ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ as a Research Intern in 2019 before undertaking an NIHR Pre-doctoral Clinical Academic Fellowship, which I completed in 2023.
Research interests
My research focuses on improving the assessment and management of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, with a particular interest in lower limb disorders and translating research into clinical practice. My previous work has explored Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome (GTPS), including a systematic review examining factors associated with corticosteroid injection outcomes and a national survey of physiotherapists' treatment preferences. I have presented my research at national and international conferences, including meetings in the UK, Spain and Canada.
