France and Beyond: ESSCA School of Management

ESSCA School of Management is a French business school with for ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ students to choose from both .

In France, ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ students may choose from Aix-en-Provence, Angers, Bordeaux, Lyon, or Paris.  

Elsewhere, students may apply to study in Shanghai, China; Budapest, Hungary; or Málaga, Spain.

Program Dates and Period of Study

  • : September to December
  • : January to May
  • : In Summer 2026, ESSCA will offer 7 academic programs in 4 cities (Budapest, Luxembourg, Malaga, Paris)

Eligibility

  • Cumulative G.P.A. of 2.7
  • Upper division standing by the time you study overseas (College of Business majors who wish to study before reaching upper division standing should consult with the CBE Office of Undergraduate Advising.)
  • Completion of all 'Golden 4' General Education areas (A1, A2, A3, B4)

Language Requirement

  • None: Instruction in English.  Students have the option of taking a language course (i.e. French, Hungarian, Chinese, Spanish) in most locations.

Academic Structure

Undergraduate students may take up to 30 ECTS (European credits) taught in English during a semester

  • Business fundamentals programme in Angers, Paris, Aix en Provence, Bordeaux and Lyon
  • Management or Marketing programme in Budapest
  • Chinese Business and Language programme or Chinese Marketing and Language in Shanghai
  • Management or Finance in Málaga

The bachelor's degree at ESSCA is a 3 year program - undergraduate exchange students may take 3rd year coursework in English.  You may review the  to see what coursework is available at each campus (and term).

Application Process and Deadlines

ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ Exchange Partners have a two step application process.  First, the exchange partner invites ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ's study abroad office to identify (i.e. 'nominate') the students that will be submitting applications.  Second, the Exchange Partner invites the nominated students to complete the Exchange Partner's application.

Please note:  ESSCA asks students to identify their first choice and second choice campuses when ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ submits the nomination form to ESSCA.  Students are accepted on a rolling basis until their published deadline.  If your first choice campus (or summer program) is full, you may be offered an alternative location.
