encourages study abroad for an academic year to maximize both personal and academic growth, but offers semester options at a number of their locations.
  • The program in Japan (Waseda University) require an academic year commitment.
  • Several of the United Kingdom locations require an academic year commitment, or will offer a offer a few Spring Semester options if space opens up.
  • Other programs provide both semester and year-long options (though academic year applicants are given priority if spaces are limited.)

What academic opportunities does CSU IP offer?

  • Several other locations offer the opportunity to study 3-6 units of the local language, plus coursework in English.

Take the time to dive into the academic details: 

  • Review the Academic Bulletin for the program(s) you're interested in (found under 'Academic Information' on the program page)
  • Talk with your primary advisor about the course approval process for your major/minor.
  • See if any prior ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ students have received approval for for General Education.

Application Tips:

  • CSU International Programs staff have  so you may meet with them as well as your study abroad advisor at CSU East Bay. 
  • Apply by the Priority Deadline (generally February 15 or September 15) for best chance of acceptance!
  • There is no application fee, and no official transcripts are required (at the time of application).  Overseas institutions may require official transcripts later in the acceptance process.
