Online modality including synchronous and asynchronous for required courses will be offered at least once in each academic year.

Courses You Might Take

ACCT 210 - Introduction to Financial Accounting

An introduction to basic financial accounting concepts and procedures. Students learn how to identify, record, and interpret the effects of economic events on financial statements for financing, investing, and operating decision-making.

ACCT 300 - Business Leadership for Accountants

Students will describe effective financial leadership to form strategic direction of organizations, explain how values and standards of conduct shape accounting leaders of character, explore ethical dimensions of decisions, and develop communication skills to pursue successful professional accounting careers.

ACCT 321 - Auditing I

An introduction to the auditor’s decision-making process in a financial statement audit as well as an integrated audit of both financial statement and internal control over financial reporting. Topics include audit planning and engagement, internal control, sampling, audit evidences and reports.

ACCT 341 - Introduction to Data Analytics in Accounting

An introduction to data analytics and data visualization tools and techniques applied in accounting. A hands-on course on analyzing accounting data, creating visuals, and interpreting results using various data analytics and visualization software.

ACCT 370 - Accounting for Governmental and Not-for-Profit Entities

An introduction to distinctive characteristics of accounting and financial reporting for governmental and not-for-profit entities. Topics include modified accrual basis, fund-based accounting, budgetary accounting, government reporting model, and net assets in not-for-profit organizations.

ACCT 440 - Advanced Accounting Information Systems

Advanced techniques to analyze internal accounting data for data-driven business decision-making. Students learn how accounting subsystems operate and are integrated into a business information system using various up-to-date software and database software systems.
